Howard Bondell
Dr. Howard Bondell is a statistician specializing in high-dimensional data analysis, robust estimation, and machine learning. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Rutgers University in 2005 and began his academic career at North Carolina State University’s Department of Statistics.
In 2018, Dr. Bondell joined the School of Mathematics and Statistics at then University of Melbourne as a professor. Since 2021, he has served as the Head of School of Mathematics and Statistics. Dr. Bondell’s research interests encompass model selection, robust estimation, regularization, Bayesian methods, and addressing uncertainty in statistical and machine learning approaches.
