Dr. Morris’s research focuses on developing quantitative methods to extract knowledge from biomedical big data. His work involves relating complex biomedical data to patient outcomes using flexible, automated regression methods. He also integrates information across various types of genomic, proteomic, imaging, and wearable device data to uncover biomedical insights. His applied research in cancer includes developing novel prognostic indices for hepatocellular carcinoma and characterizing molecular subtypes of colorectal cancer to discover new precision therapeutic strategies. Dr. Morris is a Fellow of both the Institute for Mathematical Statistics and the American Statistical Association. He has received several national honors, including the Noether Young Scholar Award in 2005. Dr. Morris has also served as President of ENAR IN 2008.
