Dr. Lan Wang is a distinguished statistician known for her contributions to quantile regression, high-dimensional statistical inference, and personalized decision-making. She is currently the Centennial Endowed Chair and Department Chair of Management Science at the Miami Herbert Business School, University of Miami. Dr. Wang got her Ph.D. in Statistics from the Pennsylvania State University.
Previously, she was a faculty member at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Wang has been recognized as a Fellow of both the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the American Statistical Association. In addition to her research, she was the Co-Editor of Annals of Statistics from 2022 to 2024.
